Stevin Rock own and operate three Quarries in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, producing Gabbro and Limestone aggregates, core, and armour. 

To this end Stevin Rock has invested very considerable sums of money in the purchase of equipment for the winning, selection, and processing  aggregate and armour.

A progressive corporate policy ensures a high level of both equipment maintenance and capital replacement of worn plant. The extensive and sophisticated repair facilities have a staff of approximately 80 during periods of double shift operations and a well stocked warehouse of spare parts (value in excess of DH. 5,000,000.00) which are not readily available locally ensures rapid repair of equipment.

Stevin Rock  follows a policy of regular employee training and, where appropriate, job advancement.  This coupled with the policy of retaining large numbers of key personnel during periods of economic inactivity ensures the retention of a high level of operational knowledge. This is essential to achieve the rapid increases in production demanded with the commencement of sizeable breakwater projects.

The quarry, equipment and machinery levels, access roads, selection yards, stockpiling areas and harbour are designed to ensure a production level capability of 7 millon tonnes of aggregate and in excess of 1 millon tonnes of armour per year,  This production level is sustainable over a considerable period.

In order to further ensure dependability of rock supply, Stevin Rock built its own 3 berth all weather harbour which is dredged to a depth of –6.5m ACD to enable entry of barges up to 20,000 tonnes cargo capacity.  The berths are equipped with static ramp systems enabling the loading of barges from 2,000 to 20,000 tonnes cargo capacity at all stages of the tide.

Stevin Rock also has invested in a heavy duty rock screening plant which can produce some 3 million metric tonnes per annum of screened clean quarry rock for high quality crusher feed for construction aggregates production by third parties.

To date in excess of 70 million tonnes of material have been quarried.
