All new Drilling Rigs are equipped with compressed
air operated cyclone type dust collectors.

The frequency of blasting has been rationalised and reduced.

All blasts are monitored by a seismograph to ensure blasting
vibration and air over pressure is within international
standards.

The number of Access Roads in use by quarry equipment and
personnel has been rationalised and reduced.

All Roadways are regularly graded and maintained to reduce
the amount of dust on the surface.

All Roadways and Working Areas are regularly sprayed. Four
water trucks are reserved for this purpose.

The Crushing Plants have been fitted with Water Spray Suppression
Systems and Dust collection units.

The Aggregate Storage Silos have been enclosed to prevent
dust escaping during production.

Screens and Conveyors in the Crushing Plant have been covered
and/or enclosed, where possible, to prevent dusts escaping.

Chutes have been placed on the discharge ends of the Scalping
Conveyor to control the free fall of material, and prevent
dust from escaping.

Stevin Rock water trucks and road sweepers regularly spray
and sweep the access roads in Al Ghail and Kadra Quarries.

A
tree planting schedule is underway at both Al Gail and Kadra.

The
Environment committee receive a monthly update and program
report with regard to the ongoing dust control program
at Kadra.
