Stevin Rock, through the implementation of an Environmental Management System, will manage the Company’s activities as a Quarry and Crusher operator, with due regard to the environment and local inhabitants.

The Company is committed to achieving continual improvement in its environmental performance and to the prevention of pollution.  The Company will continue to provide evidence of continual improvement in areas that affect local inhabitants and the surrounding habitat. 

Although all the areas of the Company’s activities have been addressed during environmental assessment, emphasis will be placed on the reduction of airborne dust particles, which result from extraction, haulage, crushing and loading operations. 

Senior Management undertake to comply, or strive for compliance within a defined period of time, to all applicable legislation, decrees or municipality limits, as may be defined from time to time.

Senior Management will review and define objectives for environmental performance on an annual basis. Measures to monitor the performance against target will be implemented to aid in the achievement of objectives. All environmental objectives are reviewed at Management Review Meetings which are held at least twice yearly.

Suppliers whose products and services are deemed essential to the smooth running of Stevin Rock operations, will if practical, be visited by Stevin Rock trained auditors to assess environmental performance.
