has been the leading quarry operator in
the Middle East for the past 32-years.
The Company has been operating since
1975 in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah,
producing and selling in excess of 36
million tones of high-grade Limestone,
Gabbro rock, concrete and asphalt
aggregates for the construction markets.
The company presently owns and operates
three quarries located at Khor Khuwair,
Al Ghail and Kadra in the Emirate of Ras
Al Khaimah.
Stevin Rock acquired Ras Al Khaimah
Rock Company on 1st October 2007. By
acquiring Ras Al Khaimah Rock Company,
we became one of the largest quarrying
companies in the world and producing
more than 56 million tones per year.
Since 1973 Ras Al Khaimah Rock Company
has been producing aggregates for
construction, cement Industry in local
and Gulf region and the Indian Steel
Industry.
The Group is Government owned and
chaired by His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin
Saqr Al Qassimi, Crown Prince and Deputy
Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah whose continuous
support has guided the management and
staff of Stevin Rock to realize his
vision in establishing the largest and
the most professional quarrying company
in the Middle East.
The Group is managed by
an experienced and professional
multinational team. Stevin Rock has as
its motto;

Stevin Rock has invested
very considerable sums of money in the
purchase of equipment for the mining,
selection, and processing of aggregate
and rock. A progressive corporate policy
ensures a high level of both equipment
maintenance and capital replacement.
Stevin Rock/Ras Al Khaimah Rock employ a
total of 2,500 employees. Stevin
Rock follows a policy of regular
employee training and, where
appropriate, job
advancement.
To underline our success over the last 3
years, we have achieved the UAE’s most
prestigious business award Mohammad
Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award
for manufacturing category for the year
2007.
Stevin Rock built its own 5-berth all
weather harbour at Khor Khuwair, which
is dredged to a depth of 6.5m ACD to
enable entry of barges up to 25,000
tonnes cargo capacity. The berths are
equipped with static ramp systems
enabling the loading of barges from
2,000 to 25,000 tonnes cargo capacity at
all stages of the tide. In addition, the
neighboring Government Port (Saqr Port)
has facilities to handle ships with
capacities up to 60,000 tonnes. Saqr
Port, with its modern facilities has
helped develop the Company’s export
markets throughout the Gulf region and
beyond.

The Management of Stevin Rock and Ras Al
Khaima Rock Company is aware that the
quality control is an on-going process
of improvement and an integral part of
the production system. Due to the nature
of business, each individual customer's
requirements are different and keeping
this in view, all practical steps are
taken to produce materials that comply
with the contractual specifications of
each client.
The quality of products is monitored
throughout the production, storage and
delivery process through an in-house
Quality Assurance Department that has an
on-site laboratory testing facilities.
Furthermore, the Company holds the ISO
9001:2000 Quality Management
Certificate, which translates into
